SSRI is organizing a series of online seminars

from 28th Sept to 3rd Oct 2020 (7.30 pm to 9.30 pm), in reference to विश्व अहिंसा दिवस अभियान, on the occasion 151st Gandhi Jayanti, and to spread the message of peace and non-violence across the world.

Awareness on a global scale is required to remind the people of their duty towards saving the planet Earth, which is being harmed by human activities. Non-violence is specifically important because every year about 15,000 crores (150 billion) animals are killed for food and entertainment disturbing the balance in the ecosphere. Around 25,000 species are getting extinct every year. This way we are heading towards a catastrophe. The non-vegetarian food requires around 10-50 times more land and water and causing danger to our own existence. To increase awareness towards the alarming situation and to remind people of their duties साइंस एंड स्पिरिचुअलिटी रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट (SSRI) and many partnering organizations are jointly organizing a series of lectures by scholars, religious leaders, ISRO scientists, journalists, professionals, and social workers. Range of topics: Role of meditation, non-violence in a different religion, Impact on Mother nature and more.. Several case studies on the application of Ahimsa will also be presented.
